Introducing Dr. Alberto Coto and Frank Gallardo

The High Tech Dental Clinic features a fully bilingual, experienced team of dental professionals led by Dr. Alberto Coto (left) and chief lab technician Frank Gallardo (below), both Costa Ricans who have done advanced training in the United States: Dr. Coto at the University of Miami, and Mr. Gallardo as a dental lab technician at Montgomery College, Maryland, where he graduated at the top of his class after four years of studies, and then headed a local dental lab there for three more years before moving back to Costa Rica to work with Dr. Coto.

For root canal work and post insertion, there is Dr. Marco V. Aguilar, one of 32 Endodontists in the country belonging to the Costa Rica Association of Endodontists. He is quick, careful and very good. Dr. Melania Aguilar has her private practice in periodontics and is the chief professor of Periodontics at the University of Costa Rica. In addition to her own superb qualifications in care of the gums and treating bone disease, bone replacements and root preparation, she comes from a family of dentists: her father is a respected dentist, and her sister is an endodontist. Both are graduates of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia.
