DR. JACOBO ZAFRANI specializes in Laparoscopic, General & Bariatric Surgery at Hospital Clínica Bíblica in San José, Costa Rica. He is a pioneer in the surgical cure for Type 2 Diabetes for non-obese patients. He is currently director of Costa Rica's Laparoscopic Training Institute, and has extensive international training (including advanced studies and practice in the USA) and work experience.
Dr. Zafrani has performed more than 2,000 surgical operations. He currently does about 100 bariatric surgical operations every year. He coordinated the first training seminar for advanced laparoscopic surgery procedures in San José.
